Italian Suggestions: From the Tiber to the Thames

The Italian Cultural Institute and Fiumano Fine Art, who have always been sensitive to the use of diversified language in the arts plays host in London to six significant artists of the Monogramma Gallery of Rome.

With this exhibition the Italian Cultural Institute, in collaboration with Monogramma Gallery, Rome and Fiumano Fine Art, London, intends to bring these artists whom have already established a strong collector base and high critical acclaim at home. Italian Suggestions, a project of knowledge and diffusion of diverse themes and poetics is a cultural journey from Italy to England charting the course of six important contemporary Italian artists.

The silhouettes of Giuseppe Amorese are labyrinths of the soul. Silent subjects, equal and assembled, diaphanus yet visible.
The physicality of experience is the protagonist of Enrica Capone’s Trottiors where places and spaces are animated by an intense dynamic perception.
In Vincenzo Ceccato’s work everything revolves around the individual. His subjects come to life in serigraph on plexiglass or digitally reworked photographs printed onto canvas.
Luigi Menichelli is inspired by elements of nature. His working practice is the flow of expanding colour, while the image is misteriousely hidden.
Historical ideas within the paintings of Angela Pellicano’prompt a readiness to return to the engaging attraction of the memory’s iconographic repertoire.
The memory of metropolitan light and colour, crystallized in a vision of urban layout marks the rhythm of Paolo Viterbini’s painting.
