A passion for beauty and modernity is the foundation of Franco Brescianini’s work. His desire to constantly seek out innovative forms of painterly language has led to a highly successful career spanning over three decades. Now in his sixties Brescianini is at the height of his powers, he has the confidence and ability to push boundaries ever further.
There is a certain sense of nostalgia when looking at Brescianini’s most recent paintings. His beautiful women seem to be wearing ‘period’ dress but which period is not entirely clear. Are they stylish fashionistas walking around the elegant shopping district of modern day Milan or are they Flappers from the 1920’s who shed corsets, girdles and long hair replacing them with short skirts, makeup and sex appeal, marking a milestone in women’s long march to equality.
Brescianini has exhibited widely, both in his native Italy and abroad. His work can be seen in public collections including the Strasbourg Museum and Fiat’s corporate offices in Italy.
Franco Brescianini has enjoyed great success throughout his long and productive career. He has exhibited extensively since 1970 and continues to enjoy the patronage and admiration of private collectors all over the world.
