Rosana Ibarrola is an Argentine artist living and working in Manchester. She grew up in Misiones, a province in the North of Argentina, bordering on Paraguay and Brazil. At the University of Buenos Aires she studied for a degree in Graphic Design. Since then she has worked in Design and Advertising in Buenos Aires and more latterly in England.
Whilst her background is in Graphic Design, art has always been her passion and it became her fulltime job some seven years ago. Rosana’s work is entirely figurative, as she is fascinated by the human form and its infinite variation.
Her work is based on life sessions, which gives to her paintings a fresh and spontaneous feeling, full of emotions with a bold and bright palette. In her portraits she tries to capture the characters and moods of the models, so that one can feel some of their inner stories, as well as see their beautiful bodies. Rosana’s images capture the soul of heroines, everyday women who find strength in their femininity.
